Dean Warren has over 30 years of law firm and recruiting experience. After earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dean spent the first 20 years of his legal career at a Charlotte-based regional law firm, where he was extensively involved in various aspects of firm management, which included chairing the Finance practice and serving on the firm’s Executive Committee, Partnership Admissions Committee and Recruiting Committee. Then, he opened the Charlotte office for a global Chicago-based firm and served as Office Managing Partner and as a member of the firm-wide Operations Committee. In these capacities, Dean was responsible for growing the Charlotte office to over 50 lawyers and staff, while also spending significant time recruiting attorneys for other offices in the United States and Europe. Consequently, he has developed an extensive network of contacts and gained a keen insight into the dynamics of the current legal landscape. Through his experience he has acquired a thorough understanding of the recruiting process as well as the concerns and expectations of both law firms and lateral candidates.
Dean has been consistently listed in the banking category of both Best Lawyers in America and North Carolina Super Lawyers. He has also been active in the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and in various banking and finance industry associations. He has also been actively involved in the Charlotte community, serving as a board member of Search Ministries, Young Life and the YMCA. He is an elder in his church and has also been active with the Chamber of Commerce, the Arts & Science Council and United Way.
